The Association has reached a new milestone in protection and service excellence by partnering with Malayan Insurance Company, Inc. (MICO), the Philippines’ largest and most reputable non-life insurance provider with 95 years of experience.

This milestone represents a meaningful advancement in AFPMBAI’s commitment to offering comprehensive and relevant solutions that support the well-being of its members.

In the ceremonial signing between AFPMBAI and MICO on 15 May 2025 at the AFPMBAI Head Office in Quezon City, the Association’s Marketing Head, Giuseppe Lauro Morta, even remarked that, “The AFPMBAI is excited about the opportunities and benefits that this partnership would bring to our members, empowering them with the peace of mind and protection they deserve.” This was further reinforced by the message of the AFPMBAI Sales and Operations Group Head and COO, VAdm Eduardo Fabricante PCG (Ret), “This agreement opens new opportunities to better serve our members with MICO’s expertise in non-life insurance and AFPMBAI’s deep connection with our members. We are confident that this will expand protection beyond life insurance, to homes and assets. We thank Malayan Insurance Company for trusting in our mission.” Meanwhile, MICO’s President and CEO, Paolo Yuchengco Abaya, echoed the good of the said alliance by reiterating that, “This partnership combines our strengths to do more good. Malayan Insurance brings experience and stability, and we’re excited to combine that with AFPMBAI’s understanding of your members’ needs and commitment to their well being. This MOA represents our promise for its members to honor their service and ensure their protection and their families.”
